SIDON, Lebanon: The Future Movement organized an entertainment day Sunday for more than 200 Syrian refugee students and their families.
The students sang songs and recited poetry about what they hoped for in the future, while a session about personal hygiene, family planning and childhood nutrition was organized for mothers. Inas Tamim, the coordinator of the central activities committee in the Future Movement’s Youth Department, noted there had been similar events in other towns. “The activities aim at entertainment, but at the same time they allow the Syrian children to express their psychological problems and worries through singing and painting,” Tamim said. The Future Movement’s Youth Department coordinator in the south, Hisham al-Qotob, said such projects were the party’s duty.
