The Special Tribunal for Lebanon Monday convened a hearing to decide when the court will continue the trial of five members of Hezbollah accused of involvement in the Hariri assassination.

The Hague-based court will also address Lebanon’s cooperation with defense lawyers.

The court adjourned proceedings in February after it joined the case of a fifth suspect, Hasan Habib Merhi, to the trial of the four other suspects, to allow Merhi’s lawyers time to prepare their case.

The court is not expected to resume trial until mid-June at the earliest.

The session comes a day before an initial hearing for journalists from Al Jadeed TV and Al Akhbar, who are charged with contempt for publishing details of alleged witnesses in the case.

The STL is tasked with investigating the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and 21 others.
