Social Affairs Minister Rashid Derbas said that a new Syrian refugee camp planned to be built in the buffer zone between Lebanon and Syria would shelter around 35 thousand refugees.

In remarks published Friday by Al-Joumhouria newspaper, Derbas said that the cabinet was also studying the possibility of building prefabricated houses for refugees inside Lebanon that would reach from Al-Aboudiyeh to Al-Masnaa.

Derbas also said that a committee was formed to study the issue, and would submit a comprehensive report next Tuesday.
