Iran will donate aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon under “strict humanitarian grounds,” Ambassador Ghazanfar Roknabadi announced Friday, the Central News Agency reported.
Roknabadi made the announcement after a meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati, where they discussed the latest regional and bilateral issues resulting from the current refugee crisis in Lebanon.
The ambassador said that his country will donate 30,000 food portions and blankets to the Lebanese government for distribution next week to all Syrian and Palestinian refugees who fled the conflict.
