The Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) pre-trial judge will hold a hearing on Wednesday, January 30, in order to fulfill his obligation to properly prepare for trial, a statement issued on Friday by the STL stated.
“The Status Conference, which will begin at 2:30 PM [Central European time], will be public; however, the Judge might decide to go into closed session during the course of the hearing if confidential matters need to be discussed,” the statement added.
The UN-backed court is probing the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri.
