STL Prosecutor Norman Farrell confidentially filed a motion to make amendments to the indictment for the 2005 assassination of former PM Rafiq Hariri, the tribunal announced Thursday.

“The proposed amendments set out certain clarifications,” a statement on the STL’s website said.

A public draft version of the cover motion will be accessible on the Tribunal’s website soon.

This follows a commitment by the Office of the Prosecutor during the Status Conference on January 30, 2013.

The STL is probing the killing of Hariri in a car bomb attack near Beirut’s Downtown in 2005.

Four Hezbollah members were indicted in the assassination, but Hezbollah, which is mainly backed by Syria and Iran, has strongly denied the charges and refused to cooperate with the tribunal.
