Hamas representative in Lebanon Ali Barakeh accused certain Palestinian factions of disrupting the stability of Palestinian refugee camps Tuesday following a series of shooting and grenade-throwing incidents that occurred Monday in Ain al-Hilweh.
“Palestinian factions in Lebanon are eager to maintain stability in the camps ... all leaders are in constant contact to protect the camps and prevent any internal strife or dispute with Lebanese parties,” Barakeh said following a meeting with Sidon MP Bahia Hariri at her residence in the suburb of Majdalyoun.
Commenting on the recent security incident that took place Monday in Ain al-Hilweh, Barakeh said: “There are certain Palestinian parties which are not satisfied with the stability and understanding reigning in the camps, but we [Hamas] are cooperating with all factions to eliminate any dispute.”
