The body of a two-year-old girl was found on a shore in northern Lebanon after she went missing on Thursday, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Tila Mohammed Ahmed's body was discovered on al-Abdeh seashore on Friday. She was last seen at her grandfather's house in the area of Bebnine the night before, NNA said.
The house lies near a water canal, which corroborates the assumption that the child fell in it and drifted to the seashore after drowning.
In another related development, NNA said the body of a woman in her 30s was found on al-Mina shore also in the North.
Security forces and the medical examiner inspected the corpse to identify the woman and know the cause of death, it added.
