The head of the Interior Security Forces, Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi, awarded Milad Kfoury an honorary plaque and certificate Friday for his role in uncovering the terrorist plot of former Minister Michel Samaha.
Kfoury played a key role as a police informer in the case. Kfoury, who is reportedly out of the country for security reasons, coordinated with the Information Branch to secretly record Samaha’s remarks about the alleged plot to assassinate religious and political figures and carry out attacks in north Lebanon. His wife and son accepted the plaque and certificate on his behalf.
Rifi expressed his “personal gratitude for Kfoury’s patriotic act and the role he has played in protecting Lebanon” and stressed the ISF’s readiness to protect Kfoury and his family
