Former members of Parliament Wednesday called for holding the upcoming parliamentary elections on time, urging the adoption of an election law that upholds sectarian coexistence in a fair and representative manner.
A statement issued after the MPs met in Parliament also called for the effective implementation of the Cabinet’s disassociation policy on Syria and urged the international community to deliver aid that they pledged for Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
They also stressed the need for all “political parties to engage in National Dialogue to secure stability and security in the country.”
