BEIRUT: Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel chaired a meeting with security officials Tuesday tasked with managing Syrian refugees.
They discussed a scheme whereby municipalities would submit weekly statistics on the numbers of displaced in their jurisdiction. The figures would help address the socioeconomic and security aspects of the refugee crisis, according to the National News Agency.
