Lebanese citizen George Lishaa was kidnapped on Thursday in Ras Baalbek after the abductors mistook him for a business man named Ghannam Ghannam, NOW correspondent Mahmoud Shoker reported.
Ghannam had tasked Lishaa with an errand and gave him his car to do it. While Lishaa was driving Ghannam’s car, unknown assailants abducted him thinking he was a rich businessman.
On Friday, Lishaa’s kidnappers asked for the sum of $500,000 in exchange for his release.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese army is searching for the abducted man.
