BEIRUT: Seven children were wounded in the district of Akkar when unexploded ordnance they were playing with suddenly detonated.
The National News Agency reported that the shell, fired a few days ago from Syria, exploded near the Walid Eido School in the Bani Sakher neighborhood of Wadi Khaled.
Seven children, six of them Syrian refugees and one Lebanese, were wounded, with some in critical condition.
 
They were transported to Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Qobeiyat.
