BEIRUT: The National Union of Workers and Employees Syndicates in Lebanon honored more than 85 female migrant domestic workers for helping to organize and promote change in Lebanon’s treatment of them, the National News Agency reported Tuesday.
The program, sponsored by the International Labor Organization and funded by the European Union, provided a platform for such workers from African and Asian countries to meet, share their stories and raise awareness about their rights and how relevant laws might be improved.
