The Lebanese Red Cross held a two-day festival to promote children’s rights. The festival was held at Forum de Beyrouth over the weekend under the patronage of first lady Wafaa Sleiman.
About 550 volunteers from the LRC participated in the event with nearly 8,000 children between the ages of 6 and 14 years, who came along with their parents.
It included games that aimed to teach children the principles of international human rights, including peaceful coexistence, accepting others, rejecting racism and forms of discrimination, and adopting a nonviolent approach.
The activities centered on teaching children their rights according to international laws and the principles of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
