Security forces on Sunday thwarted an attempt to smuggle a prisoner out of a Tripoli hospital after he had been admitted for medical treatment.
The National News Agency reported that an inmate in Tripoli’s prison cut himself with a sharp instrument, which required his transfer to a hospital in the city. A number of individuals later came to the medical facility in question where they tried to take him out.
However, security forces fired gunshots into the air to disperse them and rushed the detainee to Tripoli’s Serail.
