BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army said Thursday to media reports that several soldiers had beaten a judge at a military checkpoint in Beirut’s southern suburbs after he allegedly refused to pull over or show proof of license for his car’s tinted windows or the firearm he was allegedly carrying.
The Army accused the press of “exaggerating” the facts “particularly in terms of the judge being abused by soldiers.”
