BEIRUT: The U.N. Relief and Works Agency awarded 45 full university scholarships Wednesday to Palestinian refugee students. Certificates were handed over in a ceremony by Abel Piqueras, program manager of the EU’s Education and Social Sector, and UNRWA country director Ann Dismorr, at the Babel theater in Hamra. The ceremony also celebrated the graduation of 65 Palestinian refugee students. The scholarships were funded by the European Union Scholarship Fund for Palestine Refugees in Lebanon.
