BEIRUT: A Syrian man was kidnapped over the weekend in east Lebanon and his abductors are demanding a ransom of $300,000, his brother told police Sunday, the National News Agency said.
Zed Suleiman al-Sheikh told police in the eastern town of Shtaura that 8 gunmen on board a Cherokee and a Mercedes kidnapped his brother, Abboud, 37, in the village of Marj.
Sheikh said the kidnappers phoned him and asked for $300,000.
