The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon said on Tuesday that his country was willing to provide aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
“Iran is ready to provide the necessary aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon to prevent the aggravation of the crisis and ease the misery of the Syrians,” the National News Agency quoted Ghadanfar Roken Abadi as saying.
Lebanon is facing difficulties dealing with the increasingly high number of refugees fleeing Syria’s violent uprising against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad, which has killed more than 60,000 people since its outbreak in March last year.
